Moog Keyboard Stands
Moog Keyboard Stands
I'm looking to buy some keyboard stands for my moog-based studio. Ran out of room putting them on furniture.
I absolutely HATE keyboard stands that wiggle when you play them. Are there any keyboard stands that you use in your studio that doesn't wiggle when you play them?

I have one of these with a Korg M3 on the bottom and a Prophet 12 on the top and it's solid as a rock.

Re: Moog Keyboard Stands
Double braced "X" type stands are more stable than single ones. But if you play "hard" then this type shouldn't move or wiggle:

DSI OB6
DSI Prophet REV2
Oberheim Matrix-6
Ensoniq SQ-80
Korg DW8000
Behringer DeepMind 12
Alesis Ion

Will either of those Z stands accommodate the Taurus pedals?

Yeah, the cool thing about those is that you can adjust the width separate from the height.
Re: Moog Keyboard Stands
I use Standtastic and there is zero wiggle

Re: Moog Keyboard Stands
I think I could make some booties wiggle in that room.
Re: Moog Keyboard Stands
I use a Lowrey Teenie Genie for my Little Phatty and MF-102/103. Works great! For a non-playable stand, I recommend a Z stand, though.
Minitaur, CP-251, EHX #1 Echo, EHX Space Drums/Crash Pads, QSC GX-3, Pyramid stereo power amp, Miracle Pianos, Walking Stick ribbon controller, Synthutron.com, 1983 Hammond organ, dot com modular.

Re: Moog Keyboard Stands
This is what I use in my studio. It's relatively inexpensive and it doesn't wiggle, but then again I'm a very light player...

Re: Moog Keyboard Stands
The Z stand I have accommodates the T3 just fine...in order for it to play nice with the LP, I had to get a couple pieces of wood to rest the feet on. http://www.flickr.com/photos/32147775@N08/4359969994/EricK wrote:Will either of those Z stands accommodate the Taurus pedals?

Yeah, but that's only because you don't have a lot of keyboards to place on them...

Re: Moog Keyboard Stands
I second standtastic! I have the wall mount system and I had a Roland jx3p, blofeld keyboard, voyager and micro moog on there all at the same time with no threat of instability. I did use longer screws than the ones they sent to mount to the wall..
My modular so far: Q104, Q106 x2, Q107, Q108, Q109 x2 , Q116, Q118, Q127 w/Q140, Q130, STG Wave Folder, Mixer and Mankato playing with Moog Voyager, VX-351, CP-251, MF-104M x2 ( STEREO!) Volca Beats and Bass, Arturia Beat step
