I use to run an MF-101, MF-103 and MF-104 on my pedalboard but now I'm down to use the MF-104. If I go back to using the MF-101 I think it'll be with a true bypass looper for one reason only, because I like to have my distortion or fuzz pedal before the 101 and I think the fuzz is slamming the 101 i...

excuse my ignorance but can you explain the function a little bit. It plays notes? what do you use to control the pitch? or just in general what does it do?

yes you can.

I power 3...MF-101, MF-103, MF-104 all from a pedal power 2. You just have to use reverse polarity cables. The cable with the red tip that comes with the PP2 is reverse polarity.

thanks for the tips Greg.

Are there any other jacks that would cause a problem if the patchbay was connected to them? The LFO input on the Phaser perhaps?

Re: Moogerfooger Wood Cabinet?

I would LOVE Moog to make a wooden rack cabinet to match the Voyager, like this one currently for sale on Ebay below. Anyone else agree? How do we petition Moog??!! but a wood project like this is easily within the grasp of the average person. Greg all of a sudden I feel much less than average :cry...

hmm... I don't think so. Actually imo the whole concept is a plain "rip-off" of the z.vex seekwah /oohwah pedals. Zvex is the guy who did the pioneering here, not moog! AND YES! I KNOW that the murf works with different filter, has more posibilities - I was talking about the idea itself. ...

I'm not entirely sure but I think analog pitchshifting is impossible.

Chorus and Flange are both time based effects. The work by modulating very short delays. Phasers are filter based effects. It modulates certain frequencies and has nothing to do with delay.

I think. :)

how does the sound compare to the MF-104? Does the MF-104SD get that high pitched clock noise like the MF-104 on the longer settings?

Re: MF102: octave up, vocoder experiments

To turn the 101 into a Moog octave-up pedal, split the guitar signal into two. Run one half into the normal input, run the other half into the carrier-in. Tried this today. Very cool, sounds exactly like an octave pedal. One problem is that the sound goes down in volume compared to the bypass volum...

The CP-251 is an amzing addition. I like it best with the MF-101. The Phaser is amazing. I had the pigtronix for a while and compared it to the Moog phaser. The moog kicked it's muhfuh ass out the door! Btw, with the MF-101 and the MF-103 you can take the Env. out from the MF-101 and plug it into th...
