I know this is probably nothing but has anybody tried finding the little phatty II on sweetwater? It used to be there and now its not. And there supposed to be shipping this week? Usually sweetwater is very good about putting up products before they have shipped and then offering some sort of message saying there on the way from moog or something. Sorry, just getting anxious and this struck me as weird.

yea i wish they would hurry up!=)
I called moog today and they did confirm they had shipped the first 500...
to who though im not sure cause zzounds ( who ive pre-ordered with) doesn't have them yet.
I did call musician buy and they said they could order me one right now.
Im a little sceptical though...i was going to cancel and order through them but i think i might wait it out.

Any one get theres yet or receive email that its coming?

heres to hoping its soon.

Hi all,

LP Stage II's have been shipping since the 6th of May. I don't know who is getting the first ones, but I can't wait to hear what folks think of them.

As for the OS2 for Stage I question, currently it is not possible to upgrade from OS 1.03c on a Stage I, to the new OS... it breaks and requires factory reprogramming. :( This means we still have some work to do.

The good news is, we're working on it. The not-so-good news is that the same 3-person engineering team desperately needs to get to work on the Moog Multipedal, which is supposed to be shipping in a month or so from now.
So, we are going to spend a day or so trying to get the Stage I upgrade working, and then we absolutely have to devote our limited resources to the new product, and start writing Multipedal firmware.

So, if all goes well, we may have a Stage I upgrade available within the next week or so. If it turns out to be more difficult and time-consuming to fix the upgrade process so that it will work on a Stage I, then unfortunately we have no choice but to put the LP S1 upgrade on hold while we finish the Multipedal. In this case, the upgrade will be out in a month or two.

That's the whole story,

-Amos

Does that mean that an update for TE is a never-to-happen event?
And if so, does it mean that the noise issue with the TE will not be solved?

Oh come on Amos... !!
i think Moog is going on the wrong way.

they should first do an OS2 for the Tribute. or at least fix the EG noise problem.

tribute is left behind, i'm so sad.

i will sell mine.

Not at all! Of course we are going to do the update for the TE. But this will definitely have to wait until after the MultiPedal is released, so it will be later in the summer. By that time we should have finished OS 2.1 for the LP, which will include some nice features which we didn't have time to include in v2.0. So, don't worry... all of our plans are still intact. We just have to be careful to budget our limited manpower and resources.

Kind regards,

Amos

Think about it - which is more important for Moog the company to survive? Working on a free OS update for already-sold products, or making sure we can ship a new product on time which has hundreds of advance orders? We are absolutely going to do both. But we have to do the MultiPedal first.

I fully understund that and have no problem facing business realities.
But there is an other aspect too - making customers buy again. To make people do that you have to fix unsolved problems to the initial product pretty fast. That's even more important than new functions.

Again, I'm not saying that you necessarily are making the wrong priorities, but don't forget what makes us buy Moog products again: quality and reliability.

i think that happy LP Tribute players will buy Moog products again.

I will think twice now before buying Moog products, tribute or not.

That can't refere to the hiss noise problem, can it?
Wasn't the hiss noise to be solved with an update?
