A new OS is planned for sometime after the Taurus launch is complete.

Anyone know if "glide on legato" is on the table? (I hear they finally implemented that in the voyager firmware recently.) Perhaps it's already been implemented and i just haven't heard about it? :)

Yes, legato glide is in the plans. I love that effect. Great for acid synth sequences...

Hi , very excited about the new OS, but I can't possibly imagine how legato glide might sound. Is it comparable to this?(0:27 to aprox. 1:20)

Yes that's the basic idea. If you play non-overlapping notes the pitch jumps with no glide, but if you play overlapping notes (legato) then the pitch will glide from the older note to the newer one at whatever Glide rate the patch specifies. It's a nice effect.

And from my understanding, Moog is working on being able to update the Phatty's firmware using only a usb cable, just like the Taurus is now. This will be very cool, as updates to my Taurus are very quick & simple. Besides, I don't have any kind of MIDI interface for my PC, and I'm looking forward to trying out presets from older Phatty versions.

Sure would be cool to have a non-linear (i.e. exponential) glide slope option! Is that even in the realm of os?

unfortunately glide shape on the LP is outside the realm of the firmware, as the LP uses the same analog glide circuit as the Voyager.

If you have an MP-201, you could use its midi2CV abilities to get legato glide and multiple glide shapes on any LP, using the LP CV inputs...

I love legato glide... I find it's so much more musical than glide that's on ALL the time. It's nice to be able to engage it based on how you play.

This reminds me... I have to get an MP-201 at some point after my Taurus arrives...
