minimoog OS-Osc. 1 MIA

Post by moogmaniac » Thu Nov 15, 2012 5:20 pm

Hello All,

As the title suggests Osc. 1 is gone completely. Everything else
is fine. It sounds like a trip back the Asheville, unless anyone
has a thought or idea. Has anyone else had a similar problem?

As always thanks in advance for any help,
Harry

Well, I'm assuming you checked to make sure osc 1 is switched on and turned up all the way in the mixer. If not, do those things. If you have, contact tech support. Let them know what's going on and find out what they think the issue is. I would suggest finding a local tech to do the work before shipping to the factory. Unless, of course, you are near Asheville. Then Moog would be your local tech 8)

Kenneth,

Thank you for your reply and thoughts. Dr. Bob smiled upon
me last night and Osc. 1 is now working. I realize that the
problem might very well surface again, but for now it's OK.

Thanks again for your reply,
Harry

:?:

Sounds like an intermittent contact somewhere inside the machine... Defective electronic components don't "repair themselves"...
Anyway, fingers crossed it doesn't come back ! :D

Just don't play any gigs with that until you have it looked at! I would hate for you to be on stage with your Old School when osc 1 decides it's gonna go AWOL.

Kenneth and All,

minimoog OS Osc. 1 is still alive and well. No need to worry about
synth failures at gigs, I'm just a hobbyist but I still want everything
to be working correctly.

Best Wishes and a Happy Thanksgiving to all,
Harry
