MF-104???

Post by namahshaman » Mon Apr 02, 2012 9:09 am

Does anyone know why Moog discontinued the MF-104z delay? And more importantly, does anyone know if they are planning on releasing another delay fooger?? And, if the answer to that is –no, they have no plans– then my final question is: does anyone want to sell me their MF-104z? :D

Bucket Brigade chips are harder and harder to find.
Electro Harmonix have the same problem. Every now and then they find an old new stock of chips and go for a batch of delays. The Deluxe Memory Man with Tap Tempo is one of these, before they stopped it. Then came the DMM w/ Tap Tempo 550, which uses chips providing half as long delay time.

The Diamond FX Memory Lane II went the same. You can find some of them here and there.
Another Bucket Brigade delay is the JHS Panther: just released, pure style.

BTW each of them will certainly sound brighter than the MF104z and give more wildness.

Yep....the delay chips are becoming nearly impossible to source.

I am very confident though that they'll release another delay eventually.
