Unique Liberation

Post by Portamental » Sun Dec 11, 2011 2:31 pm

Hi guys, it's been ages since I have been here, new career path has cut down my idle time to zero, (somewhere in the minus actually). Still, I manage to take some time to play keyboards and guitars.

Anyway, I thought I would share with you a pic of my newly refurbished (by KK) Liberation. It is, of course, 100% functional, and it does stand out of the crowd. Pictured here along some other vintage Moog goodies. Hope you enjoy.

Awesome color combo with the black and blue! :D Had a '69 'Cuda that was metallic blue with black, always liked those colors together. Have seen some other colors on Liberations, but that has to be the nicest custom I have ever seen. And custom color on the 1130 too! Nice to see one in white.
Thanks for posting. Have a Liberation in need of a paint job also. Now you have me thinking about a custom color. :P

Thanks CZ... the picture does not quite render it justice. It is indeed automotive metallic (metal flakes) paint.

I was lucky with the 1130. I hadn't seen the unit, KK calls me : just finished painting the drum controller (black), you can come pick it up tomorrow. I show up the next day : bummer, unit had toppled, paint job was ruined. Can't you do it white then? So glossy white it is :)

Thanks. For those who haven't experienced a MM in unison mode (18 oscillators), it does sound HUGE. I hope I die before it does ;)

Yeah, I'll bet my Alesis Ion's 24 oscillators unison doesn't stand-up to your Memorymoog's 18 ! Although it does sound kind of huge also.

And let's hope you, and your MM both don't die before each other...

Wow - that's beautiful! I found a guy who has a spare casing for a Liberation, never used. I was gonna mention it to you, but yours is FAR better than even NOS!
