Turnkey are unlikely to provide anything with a Moog logo without resolution of the trademark issue in the UK (I couldn't even get a Voyager dust cover out of them - don't even know if it says Moog on it !) I got my Voyager SE direct from Moog in the US - all indicia intact. Do the sums - I paid les...

OK - relatively simple concept. Let's take a specific Voyager "knob" - Filter Spacing. The actual knob scale is marked out from -3 to +3 in O.5 increments. The Filter Spacing parameter as an internal value is displayed (on the LCD) as a signed integer, -128 to +128. Hence, -128 on the disp...

Sorry sir_dss - I think "post punk" has already been taken - we are in post post punk now (whoops, as you suggested :)). Can you appreciate where I'm coming from though ? In my opinion you can now create music of a 'style' that existed during, and was an intrinsic part of, a particular tim...

For your specific purpose consider them as indicating cadelas per light year.

Sorry, I made the mistake of thinking that you were actually putting out feelers for some knowledge.

That'll teach me eh !

Being in the UK, with Sig #82, the "free factory tune-ups" has always been an issue with me. The UK Moog Distributor is Turnkey - not a company that I have any particular faith in (my own personal feelings). I have been advised however by Moog in NC that Turnkey, as UK distributor, will ho...

When you are in edit mode the screen parameter echoes the 'live' value represented by the position of the control. For a particular sound/voice let's use the volume as an example. I can't recall what the resolution of volume is, but if it was 8 bits then the possible values would range from 0 to 255...

Is there possibly a "new" New Wave nowadays. New Wave as per the accepted genre is 'old' now, along with the implementation instruments. Can I hereby suggest a defininition of "Neu Wave" (only a suggestion) as 'old' New Wave style music but based upon the using of modern keyboard...

An interesting question. If they are geared-up then they can probably turn them out on an order-by-order basis - so how many people might want one in a year - that'll determine the issue limit. I would think it unlikely that the backlit panel feature will be limited to pieces produced for this year ...

With an analogue keyboard such as the Voyager all you will achieve are approximations of real instruments - depends on how realistic you want to sound (although if realism is your ultimate goal then the Voyager won't do it for you). The previously mentioned SoS articles are a good primer for the rec...

Bed v X-Frame

I accept that I'm possibly a late developer, but am I the only person visualizing wife/girlfriend on the X-Frame and giving the bed over to the MMV :)

Keep 'em coming !

Slightly better playing posture adopted in this one  . Given the cap though it might well be an impostor playing this time :? Is that a frying-pan next to the bed ? Please note ..... hot oil splashes from a traditional English breakfast might be difficult to remove and could damage the finish o...

Thanks for sharing - stick at it. I'd advise you to either organise some dressing-table/vanity-unit real estate for placement of your Voyager whilst playing, or invest in a keyboard stand. You don't want your bed to become an integral part of your "setup" and influence your playing techniq...

Just get your MIDI sequencer of choice to generate the patterns then tweak 'til your heart's content on the Voyager front panel - make sure you have a method of recording though, 'cos you'll certainly create stuff that you'll want to keep and re-use.
