OK, I have 2 Voyager SE (plus extras, like CV etc) but would love to have 2 RME as well.

In the early versions the ICs are socketed. It is quite furtunate because I had to change some of them (upgrade). Looks like yours is a later production.

Thanks for the help. I set the Last Key Pressed in the Keyboard Mode in both machines but it did not solve the problem. However, when I set the "Midi key order not active" on both machines it worked. Interestingly when I set on the slave any other values (1st-16th) it did not work. Frankly...

Well, considering that nowadays you can pick up a Voyager Signature edition around 2000$ on Ebay, it might not worth investing in the "prototype". I wouldn't do that myself.
