Re: MF-102 Ring Mod / is there a built in noise gate?
Yep, normal. There's a squelch circuit that prevents carrier bleed.

Re: CP-251 sync
Often a pulse is used, the idea being that the rising (or in some cases falling) edge of the transition triggers the input. As opposed to a gate where the "on" or "high" time represents a key being held, an envelope sustaining etc. So, does the patched squarewave work? Something ...

Re: CP-251 sync
Is the normalised connection of the CP-251 squarewave working? I.e. do you get a "normal" S&H whose rate changes with the LFO freq? How did you set the Clockworks level? Hopefully you followed the instructions starting from 0V and just going as high as was needed. It's unlikely, but th...

It's the umlaut (in stylised form) that indicates how to pronounce "Moog" properly.

Re: Moog Prodigy: do capacitors model/type affect the sound?
In general it's the electrolytics in the power supply that you need to worry about. In the audio signal chain, the high-value caps are likely to be used for timing (more for CV though), or AC coupling (i.e. removing DC offset). What do you want; "coloured sound" or something closer to the ...

Re: Why no Mix knob on Phaser?? Why??
Phase shifters are all-pass filters with resonant notches. To get the classic "wooshing" sound, you need to compare the filtered sound to the original input. The resonance control effectively works as an FX mix: as you lower the resonance the all-pass filter becomes flatter and its output ...

Re: Mod amount
Did you try using the mod wheel as a source? You can fade modulation in very easily that way.

Re: M #1126 Prodigy - All Keys Play the Same Note
Did you try using the external CV input? Check for tarnishing on that jack too (if it carries the KB voltage through a normalised connection).

Re: popping from lfo
What you want is a lag processor or low pass filter to smooth the sharp transitions. It's very easy to make a passive LPF with just a resistor and a capacitor, they can even be built into 1/4" cables.

Is it limited to any particular oscillator? This info you can give to your tech to look a bit closer.

Re: Noise on the Oscillators
Hmm, hard to say. You don't have a "backlight" in the way that an Electric Blue or Anniversary Edition does, so that eliminates the whine from the EL inverter/PSU. Seems like the noise really is entering before the filter if it's being filtered out after. Can you change the "noise&quo...

Re: Noise on the Oscillators
Please try to keep everything in one post. What model Voyager/SN do you have? New or second hand? What kind of noise? Breathy white noise or more like a whine from a digital source? Is the noise from the actual noise source running into the mixer? Set an init patch and experiment switching on/off al...

Re: Post your latest purchase!!
In a nutshell, I didn't like it. A potentially fantastic machine on paper, but it is not a mature product yet. And some of its problems are hardware design based, and not correctable in firmware. Only the aesthetics and the ergonomy were excellent on it. More specifics please! Filter/osc/tuning/par...
