Re: Can my voyager and dark time do this??
The MuRF and Voyager filters are quite different. The MuRF has 8 BP (or 7 + 1 LP) filters that can al be "active" at one time, with their levels controlled by the sliders. The Voyager has dual LP with width controlled by spacing, or a BP mode. You can definitely do filter modulation as JS ...

Re: MF-105M + Ableton: MIDI connection issue
Hoi!
I would run the MIDI stream through a monitor and cross-reference any stray notes/CC being sent out with functions on the MF. You could also try setting different channels on the MFs.
The "death mode" you describe could also be heavy MIDI traffic overloading the input of the 'fooger.

Re: MF101 australia power help
They're pretty kind with tech support enquiries. The charge pump was one of my guesses. Like they say, it's not a given that the damage will be limited there. So, what next? Are you able to tackle the SMT? To get a IC off, you will need to cut every pin (can damage the PCB this way), use a hot air r...

Re: MF101 australia power help
Chalk it up to experience then .
The turns ratio in the transformer means the secondary output would be about double the rated voltage when plugged into aussie mains. And that's enough to fry some of the bits inside.

You can also open up the back and post a photo to show us if any components are obviously burned.
Audio Chocolate will have no sympathy for you as you bought outside of Oz. Still might work out cheaper than buying from them .

Re: MF101 australia power help
Ditto; what was the incorrect PSU? Voltage, polarity, DC or AC?
Incorrect polarity should be okay (power diodes on every MF).
Up to 15V should be okay, but depends if AC was used.
If it was AC, you can get some rectification, meaning the DC voltage might be up to double the stated value.

Re: Sub 37's Powering Compatability
Hey, take a look at the owner's manual, there you'll find the power requirements. Normally Moogs have a multi-voltage PSU with an IEC inlet.

Re: Drift with tap/step on 105M?
Can you explain (/audio/video) further? What's drifting? Relative to what? What's your clock source? Is it stable? Are you sending MIDI too?
I think the MuRFs might trigger on a falling edge, so if it seems out you could try inverting your squarewave before sending it to the tap/step input.

Re: No pitch-bend spring return on new minimoogs !!
Note also the anti-parallel diodes that limit the voltage change at the centre -- an "electrical" deadband. Presumably something like this is on the Mini? It'd also be possible to do it in software if the pitchbend was tied into the MIDI-CV.

Re: Expression pedal pot value and taper
You shouldn't use a W-taper, rather a linear one. The "W" in the manual is a substitute for omega/Ω/ohm. Pots in these usecases act as voltage dividers, so the value isn't critical. It's the ratio of resistances between the wiper and one of the two ends that counts. You get more apparent &...

Re: MF 107 Freq Sync Question
As far as I can make out, the Freqbox incorporates a few different modules: a VCO, an envelope follower, a VCA (normally connected to the envelope) and a PLL (phase-locked loop). When "sync" is on (somewhat of a misnomer) the PLL will attempt to compare the frequency of the source input an...

Re: Sweep in use on Phaser
After reading the manual, I'm still unsure of how to use the Sweep In function on the phaser. What do I plug into the jack? My expression pedal has no effect. I know it needs to be set on 12 stage with the stereo out. Should I use another audio input, like from an a/b splitter? Is it for use from a...

Re: MF-102 Ring Mod / is there a built in noise gate?
Not that I know of, there's a few threads discussing dynamics processors like compressors etc. but I think it's a limitation of the hardware. If you call Moog they might be able to help you adjust it?
