Here's one. You'd need a power supply.

No, I didn't check. All I know is the OS had the 2nd Mod destination. I didn't mention this previously in the LP forum because I figured pitch wheel not working on this LP was a total fluke. I'm sure it still is a fluke as Moog has sold lots without complaint. I just mention it for what it's worth.

The LP SE I tried at Guitar Center had the same problem. Pitch Bend simply did not work on any preset I tried. I checked the Pitch Bend Amt menu which was set to default +/-2 semitones. I told the store rep.

I'd be very curious how the minimax compares to the original regarding FM sounds. I'm thinking of Emerson's steel drum sound from KE9 2nd Impression. Here's the sound.
And approximate knob settings.

Filter observation

On the Minimoog model D the filter Cutoff knob can open the filter all the way--even with the Contour knob at zero. Or to put it another way, with Cutoff on 10, Contour has no effect. I tried out the LP SE and found that the CUTOFF control by itself cannot open the filter all the way. You have to ad...

Modulation question

Ok, I'm feeling pretty stupid asking this, but I just can't get it thru my pea brain. If the Modulation Section is set like so: Source: Filt. Env. Destination: Filter Assuming Mod wheel up and Amount non-zero, what does this do? In other words, how is it different from what the Filter EG always does...

Thanks, kybernaut. So, if I understand correctly, Wave modulation starts from the waveform indicated by the Oscillator analog edit knob. May I ask you this: With Osc 1 set up for PWM as you described, if you have Osc 2 waveform set to Triangle, does that mean that, in this example, Osc 2 would morph...

pwm question

Maybe if I heard it I'd understand, but since I'm not an owner I'm trying to understand by reading... manual p. 12: "By limiting the modulation between the square and thin rectangle (pulse) waves, you can get pusle width modulation..." My question: How do you limit the modulation exclusive...

Re: CP-251 Sample and Hold output & LP

Hi fellow LP (and hopefully CP-251) users. I've been having a blast with this combo and it's been nice adding to the already lovely feature set of the LP - but I've got one issue I can't seem to alleviate. When patching the s&h to the filter CV in on the LP, I don't seem to get the wide range o...

Sounds good, Amos. Interesting about the slight voltage sharing drop. That's what you get for hot rodding the little guy. Seriously, the 2nd mod destination is a very a useful addition. Thanks.

LP Stage Edition - MOD DEST2

As I don't own one yet I'm referencing the LP SE pdf manual, p. 31: I understand the Advanced Preset menu MOD DEST2 page is intended to be a set-and-forget setting per preset, but I want to know if I can treat the Value knob like a realtime control. In the MOD DEST2 page, when changing destination w...

if you could change 1 thing about the LP...

it would be to allow the LFO to modulate the filter and osc's at the same time.
