Second test is with the UM-2 - advanced driver switch off. Everthing works fine with the Ibook. Midi clock is sent and everything is stable. But I can't change patches via Digital Performer. The same with the IMac. And you don't have the problem with the clicks with this combination? If that's the ...

I did a quick test using DP ver. 6.01. For me it works fine. The DP settings you listed look correct. Instead of the Edirol, I'm using a MOTU MIDI Express 128. Shouldn't make a difference. With LP's LFO synced to MDI, I played a note with LFO vibrato and then changed the tempo slider in DP. The LP L...

It's been over twenty years since I sold it, but I believe mine was +/- a tritone.

One way would be to use the filter in self-oscillation. Turn Osc 1 and 2 Levels off. Turn Filter Resonance to max. Route LFO triangle to Filter. Right hand controls pitch with the Cutoff knob. Left hand triggers and adds vibrato with the Mod wheel. Playing in tune would be about as hard as playing a...

Great playing, Roy. What's atop the Rhodes? The little bit at 1:08 sounded like Clavinet. Good band.

Thanks, Dave. In case anybody's interested, here's the patch used for both solos. Velocity to filter is key.

Hi Paul, I don't have an answer for why you've had to recalibrate, but I'd like to understand what's going on. When you say it goes out of tune so often, can you be more specific? Do you mean Osc 1 and Osc 2 are in tune with each other on one note, but out of tune with each other on a different note...

Playing around with MOD THEOCTAVE preset, I learned there's more to it than what I wrote above. I'm probably the last one to have figured it out, but thought I'd set the record straight Filter Env modulates Pitch. Advancing the Mod Wheel raises the Osc's up an octave. But the other thing that's goin...

I hooked up an expression pedal to the pitch CV and found out that Osc 1 and 2 do not track together. In other words, the scaling of one osc. or the other is way off. I sustained a note on the keyboard and moved the pedal so the pitch went up about an octave. Just within this short range the ocs's w...

what I'm hearing with mine is that the beats get fairly fast right away (in the first octave of the glide), then in the middle octave the oscillators seem to get closer again (the beats flatten out), and in the last octave the beats come back strong but converge again on the final pitch. Good descr...
