Amos to the rescue! In my response to the question about converting MIDI Notes to CV, I kept using the term "MIDI/CV conversion" when I meant to say "MIDI Note/CV conversion". Apologies to all for the confusion this caused. As Amos confirms in his post, the Multi-Pedal does inde...

Finally, don't forget that the Phaser doesn't have to be modulated to provide an effect here. You can get a wide variety of sounds simply by manually adjusting the Phaser SWEEP control with no modulation applied (no LFO, no envelope). Used this way, you can really sculpt the tonality of a sound. Ac...

You can use the Offset control on the mixer to send a steady negative or positive voltage. This will let you slow down or speed up LFOs far beyond the limits of their speed knobs. For example, take the positive mixer output and patch it to the speed CV in on the LFO. Then put the LFO knob on its mi...

Very nice, indeed, but did anybody notice that there's no wood on the multipedal? The wedgy shape looks like it follows the contours of the other 'Fooger pedals, but doesn't have the wood sideplates. An interesting observation - do you suppose Moog is moving away from the classic look of wood to sa...

An 'opps' email? Would you expect to get one from Sears if you you just bought a set of tools and then got a mass mailing from Sears that they were offering a free toolbox with each set of tools sold? I doubt it. But somehow you feel it's different for Moog? Makes no sense to me. I don't know what ...

I guess my point is that it's just a really, really stupid marketing plan to tell people who already own your product that you're going to give something away to folks other than them unless they buy another one of your >$1200 product. I mean, even an 'oops' email would be something... Geez, people...

Re: Suggestions for using S&H?

I have had trouble understanding the concept of the sample and hold circuit. Can anybody give me an example of a few settings to try so I can hear what's going on, or ways to make the circuit useful? Thanks Chris There are some audio examples of S&H on MoogSpace that illustrate the conce...

anymore news on the comparison of the ASB and Moog Greg? My buddy Brian and I did some work in his studio earlier in the summer, but haven't been able to get back together since to finish the demos. We talked about it just yesterday (really!) and are planning to return to the comparison tests soon....
