Hello, At the moment, I don't have any of the Mooger effects. I use the Voyager with the VX-351 & CP-251. All of the moogers add something when used creatively, yet I'm not too sure the Voyager "needs" any outboard gear, other than some reverb, on certain sounds. There are a few of the...

Hello,

Tastefully incorporating humor or satire into your music/performance can
also be an effective method for breaking tension and loosening things up
a bit.
I agree with the idea of being careful about roading the P5 at this point.

Hello, I agree with the previous post in that if you are new to synths, it would be helpful to use some reference materials on synth basics, as this will give you a better idea what the various modules on the synth are doing soundwise. Part of it can be picked up by experimenting however, learning s...

Hello, In regards to the MF-102 Ring Mod, it is true that the output wave remains the same unless you physically change the controls however, there is a workaround for this. If you happen to have a pitch shifter pedal, you'll notice they often have a direct (dry) out and an output for the pitch-shif...

Hello again, My apologies for the previous post, as I use the Voyager synth and do not have the filter pedal, I had a chance to eye MF-101 page for the pedal and it does have an envelope follower. This is good. You may first want to check the settings on the pedal. Even if you have the envelope amou...

Hello, Although you didn't state which instrument you are using the Moog filter with, I am assuming its a guitar (please correct me if I'm off the mark). Based on your description, the enveloped wah (also called auto-wah) effect you refer to from the Boss pedal is possible because the Boss may have ...

Wouldn't it be more useful to figure out the strengths of your other (non-Moog) gear and how it can be used accordingly in your music? All instruments have their own character that sets them apart from others. Its kind of like buying a Farfisa organ and complaining that it doesn't sound the same as ...

Hello,

Pot mapping is a convenient method of reassigning the Voyager's front panel hardware and some controller functions however, it is not a programmable modulation matrix in the conventional sense.

Re: Voyager vs Model D

While having been able to work with the Mini back in the 70's, I actually prefer the Voyager to the Mini. For those fortunate enough to already have both, it is a good thing. The tuning stability of the Voyager , for me, is a big improvement. For many who toured with the older analog gear back in th...
