Right, man. I have no motivation to be skeptical of this or any synth release, but this one has raised some red flags that can't be ingnored. I also have no interest in convincing you of anything, you have every right to formulate your own opinions. I hope it is real too because it looks pretty swee...

On the subjeck of PLL... Is this similar to the 107? It really depends on what the 107 actually does, I don't think any one can say until the full specs are given. We know the 107 uses frequency sync somehow, but its still unknown if there is a true frequency tracking circuit in there. The Schumann...

Re: SMS 2000 Video
Did any of you guys notice the sms 2000 synth video? I was looking at steve coopers page and noticed a video button. How long has that been there? Now I'm really confused. Here is a url. http://s85.photobucket.com/albums/k77/stevecooperman/video/?action=view¤t=SMS2000.flv Ha! That's good....

From Jared's NAMM Blog: Basically, you can think of the Freq Box as an audio modulated oscillator, where your input signal controls the frequency of an internal oscillator. A hard sync feature can make the internal oscillator sound like it's following the input I think that its pretty well spelled o...

no way, this will be a great add on to a synth--- an extra, full featured VCO and possibly (I'm hoping) CV out to control any synth from your guitar. I don't think that the pitch is ever converted to a DC control voltage in the 107 so there won't be a p-to-CV out. An internal oscillator tracks the ...

The 107 already has a VCA, so all we need now is an envelope generator. When used as an audio effect, it seems an envelope follower tracks the envelope of the input audio. This envelope is probably routed to the VCA and to the oscillator frequency, but only the osc freq is user adjustable (env amoun...

There aren't too many Rhodes' where I live; I paid about US$1400 for a 73 Suitcase. But he did throw in a Roland MPU-101, TR-505, SPD-11... Thats quite a bit of $, depends on the condition. They are very common here in the States. I got my 1975 Stage for about $250USD on eBay a few years ago. That ...

The answer is: yes and no. The ring mod can function as a VCA but a real VCA will have far greater attenuation. Translated: if you use a ring mod as a VCA and you attempt to turn it off, you'll still hear audio bleedthrough. Yeah, I messed around with the 102 a bit after that post. It works OK for ...
