Re: Voyager quality problems - feedbacks wanted

Before i read this, i was thinking that my voyager (#ss0512) suffered from poor quality assurance, but in comparison to your's, my instrument was delivered in perfect condition! In my opinion, the state of your voyager's cases is a shure sign for a defect product. Maybe the electronics works, but if...

Re: Way to turn off screen

Maybe you could just remove the ribbon cable between the digital board and the
display. The cable should have connectors, so you will not need scissors...

Re: RME envelope routing?

Edit -> PGM Pedal/M-Whl Source -> Filter ENV (or Volume ENV) Then turn the Mod Source switch of the respective mod bus to NOISE/PGM and you'll have the envelope of desire as mod source. BTW theres also "smoothed S/H" in the Mod Source Menu, which i find very sexy for waveform-modulation (a...

Re: Minimoog Pops! and other issue.

Nice to hear about the attack being at 0 and popping not being a problem, but the AUX IN LED won't light at all. HOT signals and volume all the way up on the mixer and nothing. It clips in the sound, but the light does not turn on. Maybe the LED is not connected. I'm getting tired of running down m...

Re: Simulating Sequencer Effect

i think the cp 251 has a complete s/h circuit. You could feed it with noise, trigger it with the keyboard and feed the output to your filter in.

Or you could use velocity to modulate the filter cutoff

Re: HELP: Minimoog Model D or Minimoog Voyager?

If you want a voyager see also my comment at http://www.moogmusic.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=10001 Then I would also recommend rudis slewrate modification! I played on a regular voyager yesterday and the sound really lacks overtones. The classic open filter lead sound where the high frequenci...

Re: HELP: Minimoog Model D or Minimoog Voyager?

I started with a voyager but newer owned a D. For me the decicion would go to the voyager because of the advanced modulation possibilities, the touchscreen and midi.

Re: Tips for Used Voyager Purchase

Thanks, i didn't know about this bad habit. The Voyager was my first analog synth and before i bought it, i expected to receive an instrument which works out of the box. I expected that when you spend 3000 Euros for a brand-new monophonic synthesizer, the company makes shure that the product leaves ...

Re: Tips for Used Voyager Purchase

You should really play the voyager before buying. They are all different. I don't know why, but Moogs Voyager release policy reminds me a bit to microsoft's, where the early buyer gets a product in alpha or beta state. e.g. my voyager had a cheap huazin keyboard (EMC was so friendly to replace it, i...

Re: Filter Overdrive Question

i love what the overdriving does to the high pass filter, so bitey and nasty it rules. Yesterday i accidentally did this and it was so cool! Really amazing! Is it possible to destroy something with the feedback trick (right output to ext-in) when i turn all levels to 10? My overdrive LED is green, ...

With this defect the synthesizer is absolutely unusable, so it has no worth for you standing around untouched.

Re: Thread for recordings you made with your voyager!

Thanks for listening, EricK! I think playing funk drums is a very hard job, not really fun, you have to be very disciplined, not to make too many variations. Our bass player has a lot of fun when we rehearse, he uses a looper pedal, so he has a lot of free time to drink coffee and watch the others p...
