Re: "Huge" New Project?
there's a genuine translation for this one - "supercharges the storied brand" I think means "tells the story of the Moog brand in a dynamic and exciting way" Funny thing is, here in germany at the university they start to use management speak as well. Sad thing is, because...

Re: Voyager is not analog, it is digital
The analog board uses CV for all parameters. Including each stage of the envelope, the mixer settings (via VCAs). So the analog board got some analog functions not even available as CV on the Moog modular. For example the 4 stages of the envelopes. then a vx352 with cv inputs for everything would m...

Re: How often does a Voyager need to be tuned?
If you really need perfect calibration, do it every 6 months.
A lot of people do not need perfect calibration and will notice a detuning soonest after years.

Re: Voyager OS, help me decide
if you can fix vintage synths, i'd suggest a model d.
If you can also fix a voyager, i think this would be a better choice considering the availability of replacement parts. Also the new features are nice.

Re: New Voyager owner (Moog/Rhodes video)
The action of the Mk7 is great, it's very easy to play and, as far as i can judge (i only know one Mk1 for comparison) its more expressive then the old pianos. The builtin Preamp is quite nice if you don't turn up the volume too much (because then it starts to overdrive and this sounds really really...

thanx drcarver!
As a new member of the Magic-Combination-Owners-Club i recorded a new version of my tune "Mieser Trip":

Not really virtuoso playing, albeit i guess you'll enjoy the sounds.

Re: Portable Sampler as a Voyager-Expander
Albeit other great musicians do, I would never carry one of those modern
typewriters on stage.
A very light solution for samples is sm pro audio vmachine with samplelord.

Re: "Real panel parameter"; Why does it seem wrong?
"Real panel parameter" doesnt rotate your knobs, it simply sends the settings from the panel to the analog board. For live performance i think it's good to make a compromise and select one of the following options: using presets only, which means not touching the panel during the gig, simp...

Re: So why can i still hear the note
Isn't this phenomenon called 'oscillator leakage' a normal behavior of analog synths?

Re: New Voyager owner (Moog/Rhodes video)
Great Stuff! D minor is my favorite scale! I'd really like to know what exactly happens at 1:48! What chord do you play in the left hand (seems to contain a c#) and what scale in the right? I really like this effect (seems to be the same at 2:41) and also heard it on 70's fusion records but never un...

I played on a sh101 some months ago. It also sounded very cheap and weak, but i liked it a lot!anoteoftruth wrote:The filters sounded weak and cheap honestly. The whole thing sounded weak and cheap.
