We said that you would not be sorry that you purchased the LP. We did not say that you would not have any regrets....

You will regret not having purchased one sooner, and you will regret not sleeping for the first couple of nights because you are having too much fun tweaking your new LP!

Just for future reference PWM = Pulse Width Modulation Article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pulse-width_modulation Yeah, I knew that.....I don't know where the Pulse WAVE Modulation came from. Just trying to rush out the question without really thinking, I guess. Still hear a big difference betwee...

Pulse Wave Modulation Question

I was playing around with my LP this weekend, and one of the patches that I was using for a starting point utilized Pulse Wave Modulation. If I remember correctly, the name of the patch was "PWM 2 Pole" or something like that. It has a very rich Pulse Wave Modulation, kind of what I used t...

ARGGG! I AM PISSED!!!!!

Just wanted to share this story with some folks that can appreciate my disappointment...... The average non-Mooger can't get the full effect. Preface: Two of my absolute keyboard heros are Keith Emerson and Rick Wakeman. Duh--I wonder why that is?? I have been trying to find a way to get either of t...

Why do so many people have trouble installing the new OS? Is it simply the difference in midi controllers or midi ports? I have the cheapest midi port available, a Midiman (M-Audio) 1x1 (all $40 worth) and used Midi-Ox and had no problem whatsoever. The toughest part for me was figuring out Midi-Ox,...

Is "last note" the 'best' priority setting? There is no "best" setting. It all depends on the way that you play. I have mine set to low note priority, as this feels "familiar" to me. I learned to play synths many years ago and this is how my Minimoog works. I use the s...

I am away from my LP and the new OS guide that I printed up, so forgive me if this is way off base. I seem to recollect seeing in the new OS instructions that if you got that "Stage 1 Error" message you have to change a buffer in the LP. Check out the page on installing the new OS and read...

Hey Peter,

Thanks for letting us know what happened.

This is the age of full disclosure, but you went above and beyond the call of duty in letting us Moogers know what transpired.

I thought that the new OS was supposed to save things like this for individual patches........

Haven't installed it on my Tribute yet, so I don't have first hand experience to share with you.

New host for website??

Well, I see that the Moog Forum is up and running again--it has been down all day. New Host??? I was anxious to see if people were having trouble installing the new OS for their Tributes. When I saw that the website was down I thought that it might be a bad sign of something more omnious........

My guess is that it is legal. As long as the Moog logo is not used, and the term "Minimoog" is not used (although that name may not be trademarked anymore, since the original company is long gone) I don't think that there is a problem. The picture may be copyrighted, and if they don't have...

I think that Amos is on to something here. I used to hang out on a guitar forum (Brand F) that eventually started taking ads to offset the cost. The forum was approved by Brand F as being the "official site", but it was not sponsored by Brand F, so the moderator was spending a fair amount ...
