Costs of factory upgrades... that aren't done at the factory
Hi All, I'm trying to gauge the costs of the CV factory upgrades that are done through distributors about the world. The reason i ask, is i've just been quoted a price to upgrade from the Moog Distributor closest to me and I hyperventilated a bit. I was kinda expecting it to be about the same as the...

Re: Cool white noise "oscillator" trick
I made up a cable - stereo-mini at one end, mono 1/4 at the other. the ring on the stereo-mini end disconnected ie so it's only using 1 channel. i am considering changing this, so the tip and ring of the stereo mini are tied to the tip of the 1/4inch mono tip through 32ohm resistors. i don't expect ...

Re: Cool white noise "oscillator" trick
I use something similar, though i use an app for my iphone called WhiteNoise.
the app generates noise colour from red though pink white blue to violet and has a tuneable low-pass and high-pass filter.

Re: New Firmware v3.1 for Slim Phatty, LP Stage and Tribute
Hi, Since the 3.1 upgrade on my 4 month old LP stage II my phatty has started to behave oddly with the analogue track mode. As soon as I switch to a new patch, the pot values all slowly move to the pot locations as if i'd 'tweaked' them all. really annoying because I lose my patch as soon as I've l...

Re: New Firmware v3.1 for Slim Phatty, LP Stage and Tribute
I know it is too late to request something for this release, but maybe as an idea for a future update. at the moment, we have globally and preset we can select the sync source for the arp and LFO. the global / preset thing is great. the source internal or MIDI. now this idea came from well after i b...

Re: Has anybody else's LP blown up spontaneously?
tantalum capicitor go bang. when they fail, they go short circuit. my guess, being right next to 2 test points -15V and +15V that c9 and c10 are bypass caps. when c10 failed, it would have pulled down the positive rail, but shouldn't have damaged anything *fingers crossed*. Try replace (or getting r...

Re: CV out modification kit
When I purchased my LPII, I was originally looking at a Redback Edition, which had the CV out and flashing Mod wheels. But a standard LPII came up at a price I couldn't refuse. If i needed the CV out, i would have refused it. If I could purchase the CV out modification as a kit, I would buy it (I'm ...

Re: New Firmware v3.1 for Slim Phatty, LP Stage and Tribute
you were right Amos, it took a power cycle.
653 forced the power cycle, the next releases went straight to the preset menu.

Re: New Firmware v3.1 for Slim Phatty, LP Stage and Tribute
i went straight from 653 to 656 today and started experiencing midi problems. similar as above with the arp, will run off the internal clock but won't sync to midi. actually, it doesn't respond to midi at all, not even notes. *edit* the display does indicate the reception of midi data with that litt...

Re: New Firmware v3.1 for Slim Phatty, LP Stage and Tribute
You are correct, there IS no global setting for clock div! After discussing this with a few people, I may change it to be more like the clock source (a global which you can override per preset if you like). As it is, clock div used to reside only on the Advanced Preset->Arpeggiator menu, but I adde...

Re: New Firmware v3.1 for Slim Phatty, LP Stage and Tribute
I'm starting to get confused with the menu structure, noticably with the arp since i upgraded to OS3 in my LPII. there is settings in ADVANCED: ARPEG setting for the arp that seem the same as some of the settings in the ARP SETUP ie. the clock division and source. how are each of the settings in the...

Re: Slim Phatty = Too Limited or am I Too Lazy?
I've got a story for you (and this is dead set true). My partners friend saw my LPII in the lounge room. she wanted me to punch out a song and sing with just the LP (which i declined, i don't like performing to an audience and i can't sing for poop). but i gave her the head-phones and told her to hi...

ADVANCED PRESET
VOL SENSE: 4
ok, so not a bug per-se, but a byproduct of a new feature. agreed, it shouldn't be an issue in most cases. i noticed it with the headphones on when adjusting the volume to the filter so I didn't blow my head off.
good to know that at least my LPII isn't faulty.
