Re: line-level/impedance matching
Greetings, I hadn't checked back on the forums in a couple days and saw your post. I don't actually have any of my synthesizer recordings or videos online YET , but I'm just recently getting into this "YouTube" thing everyone keeps talking about and I plan on uploading them really soon. ;)...

Re: line-level/impedance matching
Greetings, After some additional playing around here's what I discovered. The audio output from the synthesizers.com Q106 is HOT! I ran a sawtooth wave directly into my RME Multiface II which has a front switch that allows you to select from +4, -10, or "high gain". Only when I moved the s...

line-level/impedance matching
Greetings! I use a MF-101 (among others) with my synthesizers.com modular synth. The raw audio output from the dotcom oscillators really overdrive the MF-101. In the past, I've used an attenuator to reduce the audio signal feeding the MF-101, but I'm not sure that's the ideal solution. One thing I c...

voyager oscillator pitch intervals
hey all, so i set out on an experiment to map the pitch intervals on my voyager's oscillator section. i'm not sure if anyone will really care about this, but here-goes... TESTING: 1. fired up a softsynth VST that uses standard saw waves (note: sine would have been preferred but the voyager doesn't h...

there are definitely manufacturing differences between the voyagers. for example, they have come up with a slew of upgrades since the initial release of the voyager such as the afterpressure mod, quiet backlighting mod, and of course the 3.0 mod with all the sound banks. however, as far as i know th...

excellent! thanks for the speedy reply. i do not have a cp-251, but now i know that the v/oct dipping output is a limitation of the voyager rather than a specific problem with my voyager. and that is a huge relief. :D well that's just some added incentive to purchase the cp251. there's no sense in d...

ok.....i made some headway. kind of. gregAE, you were right about the output voltage...wow i really misquoted that one!! (i knew it was something other than 1.0 though  ) ok so i plugged the pitch output straight into a dotcom v/oct jack and presto......perfect tracking across the keyboard. fr...

yeah i have the breakout box. i would think that any attenuation would be not as effective as having a dedicated TRUE 1.00 v/oct output. i mean to get really accurate you would need to break out a volt-ohm-meter......(sp???? you know what i mean :D ) shouldn't really be necassary. a v/oct jack shoul...

V/Oct Problem.....i think.
hello all, i have a question regarding the V/Oct output on the voyager control voltage expander. in the voyager manual, it says the V/Oct jack is actually like 1.3 something volts per octave......... why? i tried using my v/oct out jack to track pitch on my synthesizers.com modular, but the oscillat...
