updated the OS, now the thing wont even switch on past the voyager boot screen

What do you mean by routing the audio input to osc 3 - is this a software configuration can osc 3 be frequency modulated by the audio input?. If it can, thats something new to me but very pleasing to hear. If this is what you mean then the answer is don't worry , it wont be damaging the synth at all...

I am using a mac, so cheers for the link, I will give it a go now.

My voyager absolutly refuses to update the os I load the first part (the OS), it all goes smoothly, then 2 seconds later the screen says " ROM CECKSUM ERROR" and the update fails I've tried both sysex AND the MIDI files with the same outcome each time. I've also tried 3 different programs ...

Has anyone else had problems with the new OS update. I tried loading just now, but when I send the .mid file from logic to the Voyager, the screen says " BANK A system exclusive transfer was succesful" then straight-away flashes up "SYSTEM EXCLUSIVE HAS FAILED" "ROM CHECKSUM...
