Moog Drum Solo (Vocoding with the Voyager)
For those that don't check out the Taurus forum I'll repost here. http://contest.drummeroftomorrow.com/contests/showentry/804947 This is me performing a short drum solo simultaniously playing the Moog Taurus 3 pedals, vocoding through a Moog Voyager with vintage Roland SVC-350, and rocking out to a ...

Re: Moog Taurus 3 Drum Solo! really :-)
Wow Allen... very nice. And I assume you were simply listening the midi clock in your right ear? Good stuff. Was that the Moog Vocoder/Auto tune unit that we heard so little about or some old-school Vocoder triggering a Voyager envelope? In any case, I think you've got a lock over the other rookies...

Mini-Moog Osc Board Scale/Octave Trimpot cleaning?
Had a very intensive time (multiple hours) tuning this mini I am restoring for a friend. The on board scale & octave trims are insanely touchy, using a frequency counter, even turning minutely, it was near impossible to lock on to the right HZ values. The scaling is close but with a 3-4 octave s...

Re: MF-105M NOT a replacement for MF-105? HELP?
at this point I'm hoping Moog can provide some more details as to the difference or simularity between the pedals. Is each pedal going to sound different? did I get a bad pedal, is it out of tolerance?

MF-105M NOT a replacement for MF-105? HELP?
Has anyone tried to duplicate the patterns of the original MF-105 on the MF-105M? anyone? I've about given up. :( Is there nothing in common with the two? I can't get MF-105 and MF-105M to sound the same with the same patterns playing. Is there calibration needed for the filters, or a firmware updat...

Re: Minimoog Electrolytic Cap replacement tolerance?
ok, I came across this capacitor substitution guide, so I guess its one of the golden rules. (full guide here: http://www.niccomp.com/help/capsubguide.asp ) Substitution Rule: A component with a tighter (better) tolerance can replace a looser tolerance component i.e... ±1%(F) tolerance part can repl...

Minimoog Electrolytic Cap replacement tolerance?
I'm restoring a minimoog for a friend and was looking to match the exact ratings of the original components. All the electrolytics are listed as -10% tolerance. However most of the availability seems to have -20% tolerance. Are -10% rated caps the only replacement? Will using -20% caps cause tuning ...
