Re: April fool
I have been wondering as well. Maybe they are out of gas. This one was great: http://i239.photobucket.com/albums/ff51/analoghaze/moog_mffm.jpg Buchla has a module like this. It's a quad cv fm tuner, not a joke, and possibly one of the coolest modules ever. http://www.buchla.com/series200e.html http...

Re: Accessing "Under The Hood" Features HELP
To enable pot mapping, after the cc is configured in the advanced preset menu, simply press the button which is already lit corresponding to the knob you intend to use. The light should turn off. You are correct about setting the value. Just turn the knob after it is enabled. If you have issues chec...

Re: Unusual feature request for Minitaur firmware
Ah. I see what you are getting at. If you are asking Amos for a special mode (toggled by Midi CC possibly) that when rec'v NOTE ON, it changes the pitch but does not actually actuate a note; that would work. But certainly there is no provision for this in standard Midi. Something else you might try...

Re: Moogertron, Synthesizers.com or in between?
If you decide to go fooger over .com you can buy a minitaur for envs/vca/filter/midi sync LFO with some bonus bass osc's. Sure it doesn't have as many jacks, but it'll work and keep you from going modular until you're ready for one

Re: Accessing "Under The Hood" Features HELP
Yes you can control the under the hood features from the LP. First check that the midi is conected and set to the right channel by playing a note, then, in the midi settings on the LP check to make sure it is set to send all cc's, or all cc's -vol. I have noticed that strange things happen to the mi...

Moog tech support is very friendly. I'm sure if you call or email them they will help you get everything working as quickly as possible.

This is normal. It happens more with some sounds than others.

Re: Unusual feature request for Minitaur firmware
I am aware that midi uses note on and off commands, but I'm also fairly certain the microprocessor can be programmed to optionally generate a gate signal with only a few lines of code. If I had midi to cv I would have tried that, but I'd rather not add more devices if I can avoid it (it already take...

Re: Songs Featuring Minitaur
Both of these have minitaur on simultaneous bass and drum filtering/gate duty, no over-dubbing, I just plugged the drums into the filter when recording the bassline.

page 45 explains how it's done. If the display is not displaying anything, you'll need to count clicks to navigate the menus (I have the LP, so I can't tell you how many).

Re: SP Third oscillator, my way
I use the Dark Energy's LFO CV out to modulate the Phatty. With a standard 3,5 mm headphone extension cable with a volume control on, and an adapter, I can set the amount of the cv modulation. Works like a dream! That's a great idea. I need to find me a bunch of those, in quarter inch, for my fooge...

Unusual feature request for Minitaur firmware
I think it would be cool to have the option to ignore the midi gate so that the notes will follow my little phatty, but use cv for the gate signal. I want to be able to play notes, but have the minitaur gated by a drummer instead of the midi notes.

Re: Freqbox Envelope Follower
The FB Osc Out is an audio signal. You can use audio as CV if you like but it won't work the way you're hoping. I forget the range of that oscillator but if you adjust its frequency down low enough it'll act as an LFO; try it on your Phatty's Pitch In to see what I mean. With a negaitve CV at the f...

Re: Freqbox Envelope Follower
I am using the freqbox with my trombone. Yes that's right, trombone. The fb itself is working great so far, clean, accurate, fast tracking. I was hoping I could use the fb as a connector to allow me to control my LP with my trombone. So of course putting an audio signal (fb osc out) into a CV input...
