Re: Help please !

The Etherwave Pro works without any modification on all voltages between 110 and 230V, 50 to 60Hz. The Italian buyer has just to replace the power cord with an appropriate version so that it fits directly into the Italian wall plugs (they have 2 different types of plugs in Italia, he should choose a...

Re: Etherwave MIDI implementation spec

"Simple" midi is possible with a theremin (there are CV-2-midi converters). But in my eyes, the quantization into half tones will make the theremin loose its unique tonal character. One might naturally use pitch bend data via midi to create a continuous pitch spectrum. This was implemented...

Re: classical music composer

I don't know where you live, but here in Europe most future composers visit first a conservatory or a music university in order to get a master degree as a soloist on their preferred instrument. After that they'll add two or three years of studies in order to deepen their knowledge in music history ...

Re: Etherwave Pro for sale

Brain_11, I have a list of potential buyers in Europe. These are mostly people who don't forcibly trust in anonymous internet auctions and prefer getting an instrument which has gone through my hands for verification and eventual adjustments during the transaction. So if you want to sell your E-Pro ...

Re: Etherwave Pro at Musicmesse 2011

The guy looks like the Austrian thereminist Robert Hofmann. In that case it must be his personal E-Pro (which is upgraded with an EPVM1345 module for better volume response).

Re: etherwave plus kit question

This diode is not misplaced, it has been added to later revisions of the circuit board for supply voltage stability issues when powering on. You may solder the wires from the Plus kit though, just shorten the blank and tinned wire ends somewhat and solder them besides the diode's legs onto the same ...

First you should learn to write so that people understand your message. Abbreviations are impolite, not all people find pleasure in guessing the meaning of quickly scribbled postings. Second, you could have used the "search" function of this forum and you would have discovered that the the...

Niko, thank you for your kind words! It was a pleasure to meet you and I hope that there will be other occasions to make music together in the future. I'll use this discussion thread to pre-announce the next Theremin Summer Academy which will be held in Colmar/France from June 9 to 13, 2011. As last...

Re: Getting audio in and out of an iPad/iPhone/iPod Touch

If you want to connect your theremin and are looking for a low-cost solution then I recommend consulting Thierry Frenkel, who got this working for me as well as extensively modifying my etherwave. http://theremin.tfrenkel.com/ (I note that he is a craftsman rather than a businessman, so more inclin...
