Re: Voyager quality problems - feedbacks wanted
I agree with Timmy; Moog has displayed excellent customer support, and I really think they would have done their very best to help you out. Sorry things didn't work out for you. My Moog gear has been great, which is why I invested in the Taurus 3 sight unseen. I wouldn't have done that with any othe...

Re: doesn`t anybody want t-3`s
No need to apologize for the Minimoog clone on the Plugiator... that's the Minimax, and it's probably the best Mini clone going. I have two friends with the Minimax ASB, and they are the real deal sonically. I just made a huge post about the T1/T3 shootout I had recently with a bass player friend of...

Taurus 1/Taurus 3 shootout
Hi everyone, Recently, I had the chance to hang out at a buddy's house where he had a recently serviced Taurus 1. I lent him my T-3's over the holidays so he could make a comparison. The results were interesting. He told me that the T1's seemed to be darker and have more instability and character. I...

Re: Just played a Roland Gaia at the store
That demo sounded great. Ease of use, polyphony, battery power... Did it sound like a Moog? Of course not. And the filters... yeah, I can see what people are saying about it. But it's still got a place for a lot of people. That's why we have Moog and DSI. And Nord does a decent job of the electromec...

Looks like everything is ok. I've been away for awhile, and I can't find anything spam-like, thank God.

Re: Should Roland and Korg get back in the analog market?
Hi Everyone, I find this thread very interesting. Here's my two cents: 1) Eric wasn't over the top - I think he made a lot of sense on many issues. I'd have to go back and re-read it because it was three pages ago, but I recall agreeing with most of it. 2) The V-Synth XT ROCKS!! For most bass rigs w...

Re: Any Candians get their Taurus yet?
Will do. BTW, I saw a set of T3's at Long & McQuade in Burlington, and they were $2000 + . I think it's a drag how they got in on the pre-order (the serial number was lower than mine) but still make the extra 5 bills off their customers. Of course, Moog needed pre orders to make it happen, and i...

Re: MemoryMoog on Ebay...guess how much
Ridiculous.
I hate when people charge over the top money for gear. And I hate it even more when some fool goes for it. Because then other dealers can say something like "A Jupiter 6 just went for three grand a few weeks back," etc.

Re: Any Candians get their Taurus yet?
Hey wolf2112,
I think I've played there a few times, but that one that comes most clearly to mind is a sony artist named Eva Avila. We were there on tour a few years back... 2007 I think.

Re: T3 in Montréal
I don't have plans yet for any gigs or shows up there, but hopefully that changes as Montreal is one of my favourite cities. Last time I played there, it was at the Bell Centre... wherever the Canadiens play. In any case, next time I roll through that lovely city, I'll be sure to give you a shout. C...

Re: yeah
It may be heresy, but DSI have made a very good synth by using digitally generated LFOs and envelopes, while keeping the actual audio path 100% analog. Nobody would complain that the LFO's aren't fast enough, or that the env's aren't snappy enough. Perhaps Moog could take a similar approach to keep ...

Yeah, the Midi murf kinda took everything that was already great about my murf, and added a side order of AWESOME to it. I will have to invest at some point...

Re: MF-401
the vocoder idea is cool, but honestly there are some great digital ones... the Roland stuff is incredible. Especally the one in the V-Synth. There is some interesting discussion in the general topics forum about a hardware version of the stereo multimode filter plug in. I think THAT would be a cool...

Re: What do you use your Taurus 3 for?
I also hope that in addition to bowel squeezing bass, that I'll be using the T3 to trigger samples and chords from my Korg M3 m while I'm busy with my hands. Also, I hope to use it for basic organ duties with my Nord. Also, there are many shows where the MD asks me for a bit low Taurus type of drone...
