Price between E1 and Lap Steel
How come the Moog guitar E1 costs less than the Lap Steel? It seems like the work to craft a fretted instrument would be more than a steel guitar since the steel guitars are basically just planks where as regular guitars have to be fretted and it seems more wood working has to be done. Is the lap st...

Re: Do you make Noise with your Moog?
I always gig with my Moogs, but lately I've just been letting my band mates use them. I use to use the ring modulator live just to make noise, sometimes use it for some trem. My bass player uses my mf101 and thats much just for funky awesomeness. My keyboard player uses my ARP Solus and I have him h...

Re: Ring Mod LFO question
If you want to sync to a drumbeat in an analog way, you could have a second source of the drumbeat (just say a complete duplicate) playing, then rout that into the filter. Don't output the drum signal. Use the Env. Out on the filter and send it to your LFO control. That should get you something in s...

Re: LPF Change In Functioning?
Sounds like you're just getting self-oscillation. Since its self-oscillating, it doesn't matter if something is being fed into the input or not, the filter is self-oscillating. You can make some insane sounds with it, but be careful. The sounds are enormously loud, which is normal. If you want to ha...

Re: End of the line for Mf-104Z????
no digital delay from Moog please....I don't want any digital conversion going on with my signal at all, no midi crap, nothing. Once your signal hits a DAC (which I don't trust to be bypassed when some say it bypasses the DAC when off), you're working with bits and latency, messing up your playing. ...

Re: Differences in old and New Cp 251
I don't think you can actually increase the signals with the attenuator, I'm pretty sure +5 is just the regular sound. -5 would be an inverted signal, that's the use of the new CP-251's. You can invert signals easily with it. To increase a signal, you can use the mixer. I like to use it to increase ...

Re: CV/Gate Query Re: CP-251 and Pigtronix Mothership?
CV/Gate is mostly used so that you can slave another synth or control a synth's VCO and other stuff with a sequencer or something. You could use the square LFO on the cp-251 to trigger the VCO to sound, as well as get crazy vibrato and stuff but what you really might want to make the pigtronix more ...

Re: I was thinking...Moog Piano?
jeez whats it always with polysynths? they're not gonna make one because they're only for cheesy 80s pads! Really they can sound good but come on now. A moog clavinet is completely necessary and must be made. It should come with a castlebar whammy bar dealio stock as well. SO MUCH WIN. Look up Memo...

there really is nothing to a Lap Steel though, it would be kind of ridiculous if it was much more than that.

Re: Moog Lap Steel
I'd also think that such a beast would cost upwards of $2400 or more Voltor, I myself can't see it being more than $1,500. There isn't much to a lap steel, and they've got the tech down. The lap steel has far less critical parts to it than a regular guitar. It doesn't matter if it has a straight ne...

Re: Moog Customer Service
Moog has some really great customer service. When they were doing that Moog guitar promotion during the summer, they helped me right out with the supplies when the store didn't have all the stuff in stock. It was really cool!
