Oh, I'm not. I talked about UI (user interface). BTW I use SoundTower for my Voyager and, honestly, that GUI (Graphical User Interface) I don't like. Are you talking about the Editor/Librarian software?

Re: lil phatty GUI looks better!
...Voyager fits much better to live performers in my opinion. You can e.g. touch filter cutoff and resonance at the same time (this is what the crowd usually drives crazy). If you use the voyager to "play", you don't need and therefore don't use presets....I'm very happy with the voyager'...

Re: More direct comparison between analog and digital
If by cheap you meant inexpensive, agreed. Although its DSP driven sound engine is far from cheap sounding. I tried it [Ion] and found it cheap in overall, sorry. But this is my personal, probably wrong impression. ...I'm curious as to why you wouldn't take the challenge of answering the test? If t...

Re: More direct comparison between analog and digital
Something on-topic/off-topic... ...take me, for instance: after 2 weeks spent with Arturia Analog Factory (quite good sounding TOY) I got Origin. Since that time can not stop to play on it. What's a sound! See no reason to even talk about sound diffs here - no diffs, even greater (!). I'm skilled wi...

Re: I Dimmed the Eye-knocking MOD WHEELS
... the Wheels were just too bright (and just didn't look good next to all my other synths lit up in a dark studio or even compared to the Moog's panel) ... So, now the inside of my cabinet is bathed in a wonderful electric blue -- instead of my studio Just made it - thank you very much. It is now ...

That's why I like Voyager! It makes me fly...
Not a question or a topic at all, sorry. Full of emotions :-) and found a place to share. Just back to my Voyager, made a tune (here are in two parts), real time, no overdubbing. Playing on Voyager makes me fly! http://files.me.com/igor.alekseev/z0t9cq.mp3 (9Mb) http://files.me.com/igor.alekseev/g79...

Re: Wave Shape Display?
I'm agree. It will be much more helpful. Not sure it is possible with so small display Voyager equpped. Better to use ... touch panel place for a 2nd wave shape display I guess. But it is only dreaming...funkfleaba$$ wrote:... a wave shape display would be much more useful than the numbers

Re: Thread topic
But don't forget about the price!!!! Units we're talking about are comparable in sound, but not comparable as a units. One (SE-1xxx) is just a 3U box (or it was 4U?) with nice uncomfortable interface and no soul (for me) and sound made as a [good] REPLICA to Voyager. Another (Voyager with keyboard)...

Re: Thread topic
In your opinion, would the upgrade to the SE-1x be somewhat close in terms of the sound to a Voyager? I tried SE-1X for 2 hours and found it is very close to the sound you can get from Voyager, with some minor limitations (and some features). But you're right about the feelings which, no doubt, are...

Color(s) are nonsence. What about dim?
For me blue ones is O.K. Only I really need is to dim them because of too bright. An idea here (for Amos) is: use front panel brightness knob to adjust also a wheels brightness as well.Amos wrote:the "new" grey wheels are dark smoked acrylic... they do look pretty close to black, actually.

The only bank that I haven't searched is the one starting with preset 001 = Tasty Moog Bass - I can't seem to find this bank anywhere. This is supposed to be included in the Select Series but since I don't have my Voyager in the studio I am not sure if it's included there. Anyhow, I am almost certa...
