Re: Interesting model D / Voyager comparision

It has been known that the model D with the filter wide open possesses a top end sheen that the Voyager is lacking. I have both as well. A later model D (serial number over 10.000, and have that one for over 20 years now) and a Voyager Old School. Some time ago I did a 1 on 1 comparison by just lis...

think you should contact amos doesnt sound normal to me.. Looks very much like the same problem I had with my Old School. I had to take it in for repair to have the key scan board replaced. There is a thread about a similar problem and how you could repair it yourself: http://www.moogmusic.com/foru...

Re: What makes the Moog fixed filterbank so special?

Thanks all for the replies. It seems I'm just as happy with the
Synthesizers.com "normal RC approaches" (thanks Till). No way I would put
3000 Dollar on the table for a 907. Not even for a 914, for that matter ;-)

What makes the Moog fixed filterbank so special?

Hi, I have been wondering for a while what makes the Moog fixed filters so special in comparison to those of some other manufacturers. For instance, I have a Synthesizers.com fixed filterbank, and I am very pleased with how it sounds. Some people who know, say they hear differences, which I don't re...

When you say that the pitch stays the same on those keys, do you mean that you cannot bend the pitch on those keys using the pitch bend, or that the keys are all playing the same note in the same octave? Either way, you might want to call Moog tech support and discuss it with them. It sounds like yo...

Could somebody please e-mail me the link of the 1.04T software version for
the Tribute, which seems to be released? I e-mailed Moog about it a few
days ago, but still got no reply (they must be quite busy :-)).

Cheers,

Re: voyager and dotcom

Hi Does anybody on here have any experience of using their voyager with a synthesizers.com modular? I’ve successfully driven the dotcom from the voyager via the vx-351, but today I tried driving the voyager from the dotcom and got some surprising results. I connected the qkb15s keyboard controller ...

I bought a new Voyager Performer from Sweetwater. It needed to have the keyboard scanner replaced inside of three days. The pitch bend wheel also kind of catches at the end of its travel when bending the note down. It doesn't really catch, but you can feel it rub against something before it hits th...

I also have a Little Phatty Tribute, but with the same basic sound settings, the OS sounds better I.M.O. To be honest I think it sounds better than the 'normal' Voyager as well. I had a Performer and an RME and the OS sounds a little fuller to me. Could be my imagination though... You think it soun...

I just hope there's still some around when I finally have the cash to get one and that the prices don't get jacked up. The distributor of the Benelux *did* raise the price, and by about 200 Euro! Nevertheless, I ordered one at a local dealer but I'm still even waiting for info about availability. I...

#0207 Utrecht, The Netherlands.

Beautiful machine, glad I bought this one instead of one of the "regular"
Voyagers. It might become a collectors item, especially for analog purists.

I tell you what....you guys from Overseas really are at a disadvantage when it comes to ordering stuff like this from Ma and Pa companies like Moog. You're right. It costs much more, and one gets less. At least we have hardly package deals (the instrument including a lot of extra's). At least over ...
