According to Future Music magazine, Goldphinga was right: Moog is working on a Little Phatty Stage Edition II with a built-in arpeggiator and USB port. Same retail price as current Stage Edition.

I beg to differ. The DSI polyevolver editor is for free when you buy the rack version. DSI charges only if you want to have the editor for the keyboard version.

Hi Gonga,

Guess the Edirol PCRs were not good enough. I understand.

You should have a look at the Studiologic VMK series. They come with all the features you requested, but the price tag is high.

Cheers,

I was not talking about variations in bit depth, but variations in speed at which pitch bend data are sent. The...

The new Edirol series of midi controllers has aftertouch and a joystick for mod and pitch bend. I tried one in a store but did not like the keys: they are a bit shorter than "regular" keys, and this gives a weird sensation when depressing them. I don't think the stepping artifact is relate...

Looking for .midnam file

Hello,

Does anyone have a .midnam file for Digidesign Pro Tools? It is very handy to be able to change patches from within Pro Tools.

Thanks in advance,

Jack

Made in Italy to boot, if I remember correctly. Not that that is a bad thing in itself, but still...

Found myself a relatively cheap store demo of a Fatar-Studiologic SL-760, and no more stepping artifacts in the pitch bend!! Too bad for the investment I made in my CME UF7...

I am wondering if the Creamware desktop modules are doing so well, commercially speaking. Feedback, a Dutch chain of musical instrument stores, is selling them right now for bottom prices. For instance, the Minimax ASB went from 950 euros to 599 euros. I would have almost purchased one, but my LP an...

The pitch wheel amount is usually set to +/- 1 octave or less. I checked the pitch bend midi messages sent from my master keyboard (CME UF7) with Midipipe, and it appears to be 14 bit. Any further suggestions?

Thanks for the tip, Goldphinga. I thought the MIDI resolution setting was only for MIDI sends, but I will try it as soon as I am back home.

RME and pitch bend stepping artifacts

Hi everybody, I am the proud new owner of a Voyager RME, and I am loving it, except for the fact that there is very clear stepping when using the pitch bend wheel on my MIDI controller keyboard. Someone suggested that my MIDI controller might have insufficient resolution, but it is working fine with...
