MOOGFEST SOUND LAB | Publicist | Slave

Publicist, the alter-ego of Trans Am drummer Sebastian Thomson, sequences the synths, not the drums. During Moogfest 2014, however, Publicist stepped into the Moog Sound Lab, gave up his drum kit and electrified his unique brand of house music to recreate the titular song off his Slave EP.

In creating this unique version of Slave Publicist used 6 Minimoog Voyagers controlled by MIDI drum pads and crafted percussive sounds to play along with an accompanying track.  Thomson utilizes a vocal processor to deepen his voice and a Minifooger Delay for a slap-back effect.

Publicist's one man army of drum driven house is currently on tour in Europe, follow him at Publicistmusic.com
