Moog Sound Lab | Zola Jesus
Nika Roza Danilova, aka Zola Jesus, is best known for her dark moody ballads, but with the 2011 release Conatus, Nika moved forward creating her most dynamic album to date. Not content to rest Zola Jesus ventured into the Moog Sound Lab and further evolved her single “In Your Nature.” In its original incarnation “In Your Nature” existed as an epic operatic with dance floor sensibilities, but here Nika imbues the song with analog warmth that contrasts her cold, snowy upbringing. Moog Sound Lab | Washed Out
Ernest Greene, the man behind Washed Out, stepped into the Moog Sound Lab and transformed his song Far Away from the 2011 album "Within and Without". In its original incarnation "Far Away" was built around vibes, bells & stringed instruments, but here Greene tears down the song and completely rebuilds it on a foundation of Moog Synths.
Lead Vocalist & Keyboardist Ernest Greene performs with a Little Phatty analog synthesizer. The harpsichord-esque sound created was then synced to Ableton Live and arpeggiated, and filter sweeps are then applied throughout the song.
Scenes from SXSW 2013. Moog was there in force promoting technology and creativity. In addition to once again having our own showcase with the fine folks at Switched On, this year we also partnered with MTV, Sonos, and Twitter to lend our signature blend of Analog Synthesis to their events.
