The Moog Minifooger Ring Modulator brings you a 100% analog effect that mixes your dry guitar signal with the sum and difference frequencies of an oscillator. This clashing of tones helps create lo-fi artifacts, octave effects and pitch bending. However, the MF Ring can be very musical when you tune the oscillator frequency to the key you're playing in. Moog makes this very easy with a wide range Frequency control or you can plug in an expression pedal, like the rest of the Minifooger line, and glide between two preset frequencies. The Tone control is there to smooth out the Ring effect while preserving the tracking and behavior of this all analog effect. Lower tone and mix settings can put a touch of dissonance in your sound or give your solos an octave fuzz quality that is sure to standout. The Moog MF Ring is true bypass and can be powered by a standard 9v adaptor or a battery.
