Robert Rich | Modular Improvisation

Ambient musician and composer Robert Rich is well-known for creating immersive sound-scapes that transport the listener to another place.  While studying in Stanford's Center for 'Computer Research in Music and Acoustics' during the 1980s, Robert would perform 9-hour "Sleep Concerts"- influencing the REM sleep cycle of the audience with auditory stimulus.

Berserktown II: West Coast Noise Fest

Berserktown II is a festival celebrating noise and mayhem.  During the three-day happening, over 100 noise, grind, punk and metal acts descended upon The Observatory in Orange County, California, including sets from Thee Oh Sees, Total Control, Xibalba, Royal Trux, Dead Moon and Nate Young of Wolf Eyes.

Drone Lab | Nosaj Thing

At Slingshot 2015, a multi-disciplinary celebration of the arts in Athens, Georgia, Moog Music presented a unique synth-building workshop.  Led by Moog Engineer Chris Howe, attendees learned the fundamentals of synthesis from the ground up by building a Werkstatt-01 analog synthesizer kit.

For the past five years the Slim Phatty analog synthesizer has been handcrafted at the Moog Music Factory in downtown Asheville, NC. On July 17th, the last Slim Phatty was built with love and sent out into the world.
