Bob Moog Wins Grammy
January 2, 2002 The National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences will honor Dr. Robert Moog with the Technical GRAMMY Award for his contributions of outstanding technical significance to the recording field.
The award presentation will take place at the annual Nominee Reception on Tuesday, February 26th in Los Angeles, CA. Dr. Moog will be present to accept the award in person.
Dr. Moog and his wife will also be guests at the 44th Annual GRAMMY Awards show on Wednesday, February 27th at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, CA.
Dr. Robert Moog created the first synthesizer in 1963, with the minimoog® to follow in 1969, thus opening the door to the world of synthesized music. Dr. Moog continues to develop innovative new musical products.

It gives me great pleasure to inform you that the Board of Trustees of the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences has voted to honor you this year with the Technical GRAMMY Award. This award was established in 1994 and is given to individuals and/or companies who have made contributions of outstanding technical significance to the recording field.
The award presentation will take place at our annual Nominee Reception on Tuesday evening, February 26th in Los Angeles. We would be most honored if you were able to accept this award in person.
