ODD HARMONICS: Theremins As Sculptural Art

ODD HARMONICS is a month-long art show and performance series sponsored by Moog Music and Butterscotch Records to celebrate the launch of the label.  Curated by label head, Allen Farmelo, and presented at the Judith Charles Gallery in Soho, NYC, Odd Harmonics aims to re-unite record-making wth the bold innovations in design, art, instrument-building, performance as they were in the analog era.

Oct. 16, 6 - 9pm: Odd Harmonics opens by welcoming the work of Francois Chambard, Cassandra C. Jones and Tomory Dodge, including over 20 sculptural Theremins custom built for the show by Chambard.

Oct. 19, 8pm: Mikael Jorgensen (Wilco) & New Weather perform live among the 20 sculptural theremins to celebrate the release of their debut albums on Butterscotch Records.

Oct. 26, 8pm: Transgressive Theremins & Theater with former High-Times publisher Mike Edison and Christen Clifford.

Nov. 1, 8pm: Graph Rabbit and special guest.

Nov. 2, 7:30pm: Theremin virtuosa Carolina Eyck and pianist Christopher Tarnow.

Nov. 3, 11am: Elska live.
