Sean Michaels' debut novel, US Conductors, is a fictional telling of the life and times of Russian inventor Leon Theremin. Inspired by the true events of Leon Theremin's life, US Conductors follows Theremin's real life journey from the "glitz and glam of New York in the 1930's to the gulags and scientific camps of the Soviet Union."
Based on factual accounts of Theremin's life, Michaels tells Theremin's story from the first person, imparting fiction to the story to connect the historical dots. Sean Michaels will read from, and sign copies of, his book US Conductors tonight at 7:00PM at The Moog Store in downtown Asheville, NC. The event is free and open to the public.
WCQS WNC Public Radio has more on the book and event here.
Tonight's event will conclude a special performance by Duet For Theremin & Lapsteel.
