Doug Aitken's public art project Station To Station is currently making it's way across the country. Unlike your typical travelling exhibit, Station To Station places as much focus on the journey as it does the destination.
Living and working inside a speeding train, Doug Aitken's mobile multi-media experiment is home to innovators from the worlds of food, art, music and film. In support of Aitken's inter-disciplanary vision, Moog Music has outfitted the Wisconsin Valley recording car with a full line of analog Moog gear. Over several weeks, this Mobile Moog Sound Lab will host impromptu performances from travelling musicians like Giorgio Moroder and Sonic Youth's Thurston Moore.
For three weeks in September, the most interesting place in the world is a moving target.
