J Dilla's Minimoog and MPC Going To The Smithsonian

At the 9th annual DC Loves Dilla Concert, a special announcement was made regarding the music production tools belonging to one of the industry's most influential hip-hop artists.  During the event, a representative from the Smithsonian revealed that J Dilla's Minimoog Voyager (one of the final instruments built by Robert Moog) and his Akai MPC will be displayed in the Smithsonian's forthcoming Museum of African American History.  

The instruments (pictured above with his mother) were used by Dilla to create some of the most influential hip-hop of his time.  Watch the video below for the announcement from DC Loves Dilla.
