New Moogerfooger - MIDI MuRF

Post by Modularfan » Fri Jul 10, 2009 7:21 am

The latest Sweetwater catalog lists a new MIDI MuRF Moogerfooger. The product description says that all of the MuRF's knobs now receive MIDI CC's, making filtering MIDI syncable. The product photo shows what appears to be a standard MuRF with the usual knobs and filter sliders, but they could have used an old photo for the catalog.

First I've heard of it... anyone know more?

Sounds like a Summer NAMM announcement that was let out early. I'm intrigued, as the idea has been talked about on this forum before. This will hopefully give user definable patterns and easier ways to tempo lock.

I hope I can get a MIDI Bass MuRF . . .

Syncing this up with Numerology could be awesome.

I'm really looking forward to hearing more about this!

How about it, Moog? :D :D

Moog has really been on top of things lately...adding more cv outs to the phatty, midi to the murf, reissue taurus pedals...I wonder what they will come up with next (that's a hypathetical question, I know there is already a seperate toppic for this elsewhere in the moog forums)

The midi murf is cool but I think id be fine with regular murf, unless their the same price then it would only make sense to get the midi version

This, methinks, would be a feature that would kill the old MuRF pedal in my eyes (i.e. everytime I look at mine I'll think "oh why can't you have midi ins?"). Hate it when that happens to great gear! Not that I'm complaining; far from.

How 'bout a factory upgrade?

I would send mine in for a factory upgrade to midi without a second thought!

I would want to be able to trigger each filter with note on messages, and sync the rate to a midi clock.

CC messages for envelope and mix would also be great, but probably too much of a mod.

they really out did themselves with the midi murf i think! KUDOS MOOG! combining the regular and bass murf in one pedal, then to add midi to it so you cn snc patterns or create your own! Incredible and it only $30 more :!:
