Short answer: no. :P The signals of primary interest are not available via MIDI... this is all about the voltages.

Most definitely.

Well, there's that. :)

I'm really excited by this possibility. I love my Little Phatty and this would really open it up.

I'd actually kinda like a new CV inputs - specifically independent PWM inputs for Oscillators 1 and 2.

Will the pitch CV be 1 volt per octave? I thought I remember reading somewhere that the LP works on a slightly less value.

Lack of pitch and gate outs is what turned me away from the LP...but with these mods becoming available I may have to get my self a phatty...and get some custom wood sides for it :D

It would be easy to attenuate a 1volt signal to 0.95 volts. I do know that the MicroMoog works on a .95 volt system, too. ColorForm, I'm looking at you.

lol actually if I get a LP in the near future I will be letting the micro go  but I plan to ad the dual vco from modusonics which was why I was upset the LP didn't have cv outs. This way I could have a 4 vco phatty! 2 old and 2 new. And if they offer the free cp251 deal again im pulling the trigger right away

Pitch-CV output will be 1 Volt per octave. Other CV outputs should be
standard Moog 0 to +5V range as appropriate. per Amos

Late to the party but...

I kinda don't like the jacks in front of the pitch wheels due to some of the points brought up previously. and it makes it hard to have the LP on a table (or stand) with something in front of it. I would prefer them on the side with the others.

Having said that, I know for people with wooden sides this becomes a problem. All of a sudden new sides are needed.

So an idea I thought about...what if the existing input jacks were converted in a way that allowed them to work both as inputs and outputs? I'm no electrical guy but my thought is this:

Is it possible to change those jacks to internally work maybe like a patchbay - or maybe with some "special" plugs like Apple uses on iDevices where there is not only audio but also control data being sent via the one input/output. Imagine if the Filter input was also the output. If done how I'm thinking you could use off-the-shelf 1/4 stereo male to two 1/4 mono adapters, one would be the input and one would be the output. Moog could "brand" some of these cables with proper coloring to avoid the guesswork of which is which. If you plug a normal mono jack in maybe it works as it does today (input CV only) so I can still easily plug my pedals in without one of the Y adapters if I don't want the output capability.

Make sense?

This would require no new holes being drilled, no new plastics (or woods) and only internal changes to the components - which I'm assuming is on a board that could be swapped out by the user.

My $.02 and would be much cleaner in my opinion.

PS: not to mention I think all the major points are covered here.

The Filter CV would send the filter envelope, you have KB Gate, Pitch and Volume which could send the Amplitude Envelope!

Actually, for those of us with wood sides, it would be easier. All that would need to be done is route out the right side panel about 1 inch wide and maybe 4 inches long. That would be the easy way. The hard way would be to route out an inset for the original metal plate from the right rubber side, make a 1x4 cutout in the wood, and use the metal plate to mount the jacks.

For the rest of the LP owners, it would be almost impossible to mount CV out jacks to the rubberized sides.

Fwiw, if they decide to let us know more about the CV out option, I'd probably use the space under the wheels for the jacks. Just me personally.
