I couldn't stand the cheap plastic panels no more, so I asked a friend of mine if he could do the job for me, and this is the result:

My friend
Makassar is a fine luthier from Cortona, Tuscany, Italy.
He used two pieces of vintage mahogany (the same of Gibson Les Paul guitars) and he also carved a little inlay on both sides.
Aaaaaah... Call me stupid but I couldn't name the Little Phatty a "Moog" without some decent wood panels...
Now I'm really happy!

It's beautiful to see people put some love into their instruments.

The LEDs look like they're different as well, or is that just the lighting?

I tried making wood panels for my MG1 years ago.. I failed miserably, but got closer than I thought I would... I'm not a wood worker..
Those look amazing !! Now you have the best of both worlds.. Congrats..
ps... do you mind if I ask how much he charged you? He could probably make a small FORTUNE doing this for other with the Stage Lp and other synths for that matter... !!

Well, I can't tell you how much he charged me (he's a friend after all), but I can tell you that it was REALLY a fair price...
