New product @ Musik Messe!!!

In a Moog Mood? Here's a forum for discussion of general Moog topics.

There is no doubt that our expectations will not be fullfilled as we see them.
Just the fact that it is the first new product after the passing of R.A.M. is worth the excitement for me.
Whatever it is, if it is within my budget , I'm biting.
"Oh that thing" "I had nothing to
do with that. "as said to me by
R.A.MOOG
When asked to sign my xeroxed moog source users manual. Then signed it.

Maybe just a small minimoog-style keyboard that would have :

- VA modeling of most popular Moog synths
- Amazing filters
- External audio input
- Midi controller with lots of knobs
- Cool price tag

I doubt it'll be disappointing... or Moog wouldn't be feeding the rumors with clues.

I don't think he meant the new product will be disappointing, but that some people will be disappointed when its not what they want it to be. I think some people feel strongly that they know what it is or what it should be, but you can't please everyone!

I, however, am holding off on specific speculation. But I know whatever it is, it will be great (that's a speculation I know will hold true)!

Good point Oyster... I'm just hoping it is in the $1000-1300 range...or lower.

Those are plates for the inside of the wood panels. The loop looks like a wire from a power cord socket going to either a switch or a fuse. Looks like all of the connections will be made via the left side of the keyboard ALA Hartmann Neuron.

I'm thinking It's gonna be able to be held onto guitar style, like the old Moog Liberation. A real performance piece.

the synth will be absolutely awesome looking. i have this on good authority.

I was at turnkey lat night for their moog clinic and Brian Kehew said it looks likely to be one of the most beautiful synths he's ever seen (or words to that effect). i'm flying in to music messe to see the product so cannot wait.
